Canes Tracking Hurricanes

The Hurricane Rainband and Intensity Change Experiment, or RAINEX, will study how the outer rain bands, inner eye, and eye wall of a hurricane interact to influence a storm's intensity.

Unraveling a mystery: Shuyi Chen, associate professor at the Rosenstiel School (University of Miami, Florida), says project RAINEX could lead to a better understanding of rapid changes in hurricane intensity, a phenomenon that has baffled researchers for years.

Almost a week has gone after Katrina hit New Orleans (Katrina hit landfalls on August 29, 2005) and other parts of US Gulf Coast, about 44 countries have pledged aids to help the Americans. Even Sri Lanka pledged USD25,000.00 to the American Red Cross.

I do not see Malaysia in the list. Are we such a hypocrite? Have we forgotten our Muqasid of the Sharia? Eventhough most of the damages will be covered by insurance, I still believe we as fellow human beings at least should offer our help. It is good for our soul.

Note:
Muqasid of the Sharia
1. Protecting the Deen
2. Protecting the Humans
3. Protecting the Minds
4. protecting the Honor
5. Protecting the Generations
